Business to Community

NewRootsConsulting

Before New Roots our staff had been assisting refugees and immigrants with business development through loans and matched savings accounts (IDA). One of our most successful clients, was Dieynaba who started, Saran African Market an African foods store at 20019 International Blvd, SeaTac, WA 98198. We chose to do a Resettlement Story on Dieynaba, not only becuase of her successful business, but because of the community she has formed around her store. Her shop is now a gathering place for friends and family to come recieve the services and products that they once had access to.

As of 2014, Dieynaba expanded her business to inculde Diene's Hair Salon which specializes in West Afircan style hair braiding and beauty supplies.
